My husband impregnated my sister, slept with
our daughters, businesswoman tells court

63-year-old businesswoman,
Mrs
Mabel Alli, approached
an Igando Customary
Court in Lagos yesterday
to end the 41-year-old
marriage with her husband,
Richard for allegedly
impregnating her
sister and sleeping with
their daughters.
Mabel told the court
presided over by President,
Mr Adeniyi Koledoye,
that her husband,
with whom she had four
children, sexually molested
all their three daughters
and would run after
any thing on skirt.
“After impregnating my
sister, he took one of our
daughters to the hospital
for abortion. My 13-yearold
girl also reported to
me that he always
sneaked into her room to
make love to her.
“There was a day I forgot
money at home, I
rushed home to pick it,
fortunately, I met my husband
about to sleep with
another of our daughter,
I shouted and he jumped
down from her.
“My friends and domestic
staff are not exempted.
I have caught
him red-handed making
love to them,” she told the
court.
The petitioner said that
her husband was fetish
and also wanted to use
her for money ritual in
order to finance his political
ambition.
“My husband joined
politics and was desperate
for power, he took me
to various herbalists in
Badagry, Sango and other
places for money ritual.
Unknown to me, I followed
him to those places
because he told me that
it was for goodwill. He
made love to me and my
private part was itching
me seriously, I asked him
what he robbed on his
sex organ but he denied
robbing anything.
“I started falling sick,
going from one hospital
to another, from one
church to another, I never
thought I will survive
it but God was on my
side.
“I stopped following
him to herbalists when
the last herbalist he took
me to asked me to come
alone the following day
but I went with one of our
daughters. He told me
that I should stop following
my husband about
and should run for my life
as he wanted to use me
for ritual or make me mad,
so he can inherit my cars
and house. My husband
used charms to collect
money from me to achieve
his political ambition but
he eventually lost the
election.
“He once collected
N1.8million from me with
the pretext of going to
Kenya to buy goods to
start a business not knowing
that he went to seek
power and he came
home with charms.

70 other political parties
and groups in congratulating
Governor Ifeanyi
Ugwuanyi on his reelection
as the governor of the
state.
In a congratulatory
message signed on behalf
of the UPP by its
State Chairman, Ken
Onyekaonwu, which was
presented to Gov. Ugwuanyi
when members of
the state and national
leadership paid him a
courtesy visit at the Government
House, Enugu,
the party told the gover-
nor that “your reelection
was well deserved having
spent the last four years
of your life labouring
hard to move Enugu
State to an enviable
height.”
Acknowledging that
Gov. Ugwuanyi “toured
the length and breadth of
the state campaigning”,
the UPP pointed out that
“it was obvious that if indeed,
you have failed the
people of Enugu State,
they would certainly not
have renewed your mandate
as their governor,”
stressing that “this however,
well explains why
your victory at the polls
could be described as well
deserved.”

court to terminate their
marriage that she was no
longer interested as her
husband may succeed in
killing her one day if she
continued with the marriage.

who denied all the allegations,
welcomed the
divorce suit, saying he too
was no longer interested
in the marriage.
The 66-year-old pastor
denied sleeping with his
wife’s sister, friends,
housemaids or daughters,
saying that it was his wife
that took their daughter
for abortion.
According to him, he
never took his wife to any
herbalist neither did he
threaten her life.
After listening to the
submissions of the estranged
couple, the court
president, Mr Adeniyi
Koledoye, adjourned the
case until May 2, for
judgment.

euphoria of being the local
government area in
Enugu State that delivered
the highest number
of votes to Gov. Ugwuanyi
