Description:<br />
<strong>World</strong> <strong>Class</strong> <strong>CME</strong> presents, with the support of an educational grant provided by Hologic, a<br />
breast imaging weekend <strong>for</strong> radiologists. This weekend will feature eight hours of<br />
comprehensive hands-on <strong>tomosynthesis</strong> training at dedicated mammography workstations, as<br />
well as many topics facing radiologists today from dense breast regulations to contrastenhanced<br />
mammography. Facultywill also explore implementing <strong>tomosynthesis</strong> into a practice,<br />
advancements in breast imaging technology, high resolution imaging, 3D-guided biopsy and<br />
arti cial intelligence. The <strong>course</strong> will be limited to 30 attendees. Upon completion of the two<br />
days, you will receive a certi cate <strong>for</strong> your required eight hours of <strong>tomosynthesis</strong> training.<br />
The FDA approved an innovative three-dimensional digital mammography system in February<br />
2011 that shows measurable improvement in clinical per<strong>for</strong>mance over conventional twodimensional<br />
mammography. This new technology, called <strong>Breast</strong> Tomosynthesis, is expected to<br />
detect more cancers while resulting in fewer unnecessary diagnostic imaging studies and<br />
procedures. The FDA mandated that radiologists wishing to use the technology receive eight<br />
hours of case-based training in Tomosynthesis interpretation.<br />
This <strong>course</strong>, presented by <strong>World</strong> <strong>Class</strong> <strong>CME</strong>, features eight hours of comprehensive training in<br />
<strong>Breast</strong> Tomosynthesis and is supported through an unrestricted educational grant provided by<br />
Hologic.<br />
Participants will receive individual instruction in Tomosynthesis interpretation by expert<br />
faculty, at their own clinical workstations while reviewing clinical Tomosynthesis data sets with<br />
accompanying standard mammography. The <strong>course</strong> will not only ful ll the FDA training<br />
requirement, but will also provide a unique opportunity to assess the potential impact<br />
Tomosynthesis could have <strong>for</strong> a physician’s practice.<br />
