Become part of Camp Romano’s Bowling team!
Learn the skills and techniques to better your
game. Bowling shoes provided. Campers must
wear socks. On Friday we’ll have a Rock and Bowl

Coding and Video Game Design
• Week 3: July 15–19
• Children entering grades 3–6
• Price Level: P+
Coding has been called the “literacy of the
21st century.” Beginning coders will learn the
fundamentals of coding by utilizing WeDo and
EV3 hardware and Scratch. Campers will also
create their very own video games. Each lesson
progressively teaches more advanced capabilities
within the video game design software.

Game Over Jr. Engineers
• Week 2: July 8–12
• Children entering grades 1–6

Jump into the world of classic arcade and video
games! Eat flashing dots, collect coins and rings,
avoid getting killed by enemies… there are so
many obstacles to overcome and levels to beat!
Let’s take it back to when it all started—the 1980s!
Campers will build Super Mario Brothers, PacMan,
Alien Invaders and more! Campers will also build
characters from today’s popular games including
Fortnite, Minecraft, Angry Birds, Clash of Clans,
Pokemon and more! Enrollment: Min. of 8, max. of
24 campers.

LEGO Stop Motion Animation
Movie Making
• Week 7: August 12–16
• Children entering grades 3–6
• Price Level: P+
Lights, camera, LEGO action! Use LEGO Bricks to
tell your story complete with music, special effects
and all your favorite LEGO mini figure characters!
In this unique and creative camp students will plan,
script, stage, shoot and produce their own minimovie
using stop motion animation. Working as a
team students will use LEGO components to build
the set and props, then shoot their movie using a
camera. They will use movie-making software to
add special effects, titles, credits and more. Don’t
miss your chance to be a movie producer!
Enrollment: Min. of 8, max. of 24 campers.
Ceramics with Mark Raush
• Week 2: July 8–12
• Week 6: August 5–9
• Children entering grades 1–6
• Price Level: A
Use clay and glaze to create your own
masterpieces! Learn the art of ceramics by
creating pots, vases, bowls and more. Fire your
work in the kiln. Fired pieces will not be ready to
take home by the end of the week but will look
beautiful for a long time to come. Requirements:
Campers should wear clothing that can get messy.
Enrollment: Min. of 8, max. of 24 campers.

Alea Smith is back by popular demand to coach
our Cheerleading Camps! Spend the week learning
cheers, some basic stunts and a dance routine.
Campers will lead Camp Romano in a pep rally! All
abilities and levels welcome. Enrollment: Min. of 8,
max. of 24 campers.
Circus with the
National Circus Project
• Week 3: July 15–19
• Children entering grades 1–6
• Price Level: P
A circus show by professional artists/instructors,
with hands-on workshops on feather balancing,
juggling, plate spinning, stilt walking and much
more. Campers will perform in a showcase for their
parents and the entire Camp Romano family on
Friday afternoon. Enrollment: Min. of 8, max. of
25 campers.
