CREATING GLOBAL NETWORKS<br />
EducationUSA is an entity <strong>of</strong> the U.S. Department <strong>of</strong> State that promotes U.S. higher education <strong>in</strong> advis<strong>in</strong>g centers<br />
around the globe. Each year, the <strong>Office</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>Affairs</strong> hosts a familiarization tour <strong>in</strong>vit<strong>in</strong>g EducationUSA<br />
advisers to Texas Tech University. The purpose <strong>of</strong> the visit is to <strong>in</strong>crease TTU brand recognition, promote programs and<br />
services <strong>of</strong>fered to <strong>in</strong>ternational students, and build relationships with stakeholders abroad. In <strong>2018</strong>, the tour <strong>in</strong>cluded<br />
EducationUSA Advisors from Belarus, Malaysia, and Bangladesh and provided opportunities to engage with faculty<br />
and students from the Edward E. Whitacre, Jr. College <strong>of</strong> Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, College <strong>of</strong> Agricultural Sciences and Natural<br />
Resources, and Jerry S. Rawls College <strong>of</strong> Bus<strong>in</strong>ess Adm<strong>in</strong>istration.<br />
