Emergency Aid and Relief<br />
Emergency assistance program provides funds to help<br />
mediate an emergency crisis. In <strong>2018</strong>, Gaza continues to<br />
experience heightened political tension, increasing electricity<br />
blackouts, joblessness and poverty, which have caused<br />
increasing vulnerability. CNEWA-PMP and in partnership<br />
with donor agencies, funded 5 projects totaling USD 404,000,<br />
that supported 700 people including children, young graduates,<br />
families and the elderly.<br />
During <strong>2018</strong>, CNEWA-PMP collaborated with Al-Ahli Arab<br />
Hospital to implement a malnourishment program to help<br />
alleviate child malnourishment in children; a job training and<br />
employment program for unemployed graduates in the medical<br />
field as well as a health care fund for the poor and elderly by<br />
covering medical expenses and healthcare costs. In addition to<br />
an employment program for 16 youth placed at four Christian<br />
institutions and a psychosocial intervention program for<br />
mothers and children at the NECC Mother & Child clinics.<br />
