Clubhouse Revamp
Computer-generated images of the new clubhouse
at Sherdley Park golf course have been released.
The new clubhouse, designed by Green Circle
Estates Ltd. who are leasing the course, will feature
a new restaurant which opens in May, a bar and a
terrace open to members of the public. The plans
are set to bring the golf course into the modern age,
and include a £1 million refurbishment.

Lancashire Lanes
A 75 mile cycle in aid of the Steve Prescott
Foundation takes place this month. The Lancashire
Lanes Sportive starts at Rainford High School on
Sunday, May 12 at 9am.
Around 500 riders are expected to take part in the
race, with an appeal for more female cyclists to get
involved this year. The route is marked out, and
mechanical assistance is available.
A free dinner stop of beans on toast is also available
along the route.
Entry to the event costs £20, and entry forms can be
obtained from Thatto Cycles on Nutgrove Road or
