AACT International Committee Chair<br />
The International Amateur Theatre Association (AITA/<br />
IATA) will hold its <strong>2019</strong> International theatre festival in Saint<br />
John, New Brunswick, Canada. This event will take place on<br />
August 27-31, <strong>2019</strong>, and twelve countries have been selected to<br />
perform at this festival including Argentina, Belgium, Cuba, the<br />
Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Portugal,<br />
and Singapore. In addition to these performances, there will<br />
be theatrical workshops, meetings, and sightseeing opportunities.<br />

At this festival, AITA/IATA will hold its annual General Assembly<br />
and also elect a new president and new members of the<br />
council. Representing the USA at the General Assembly will be<br />
delegates Lori Chase, Murray Chase, Kathleen Maldonado, Jerry<br />
Oligmueller, Frank Peot, and Jim Walker. These delegates were<br />
approved by the AACT board (the national center of the USA)<br />
at the AACT winter board meeting in Salt Lake City in February<br />
<strong>2019</strong>. The AITA/IATA General Assembly will take place on<br />
Thursday, August 29, <strong>2019</strong>. <br />
