INVICTUS
The Annual Technical fest of DTU, Invictus 2019
was conducted in February 2019. Spread over three
days, the fest comprised of various competitions
and seminars for computer enthusiasts, coders
and technophiles from across the country.
In an encouraging development, Invictus
witnessed participation from various schools and
colleges of Delhi-NCR, in events including ‘Code
to School’ and ‘Science of Intellects’. Interactive
sessions, workshops, and conferences, organised
to supplement the students’ knowledge with the
experience of numerous achievers, witnessed
great attendance.
Code in the Dark, Python Trials, Code War and
virtual treasure hunts were competitive coding
events which tried not only one’s technical intellect
but coding concepts as well.
Strategic Game evelopment & IPL bidding tested
one’s business planning skills. The talent of making
the best out of waste was well recognised in the
Junk Yard competition. The fest included national
level hackathons like DataHack, Codethon and
Vihaan.
Several tech teams of DTU demonstrated their
vehicles, robots and other projects which had won
several awards and prizes during the course of the
year.
Invictus’19 was also graced by the co-founders
of PayPal, Mr. Sanjay Bhargava and Mrs. Anita
Bhargava, for an interactive session. In addition, the
fest witnessed a long line-up of famed speakers,
including Shreya Mehta, Karunesh Talwar and
Sam Baisla at the Student Professional Awareness
Conference (SPAC) 2019.
Various tech teams and societies organised
numerous events throughout the three days of the
techfest, making it a great endeavour for students
to explore their technical side and gain essential
skills and knowledge.
