DTU Times interviewed the Placement
Coordinators and asked them about their
experience in the Department of Training and
Placement.
PCs Speak Up
BT
One of the most interesting experiences of my life till
date, hectic yet inspiring. Prof. Rajesh Rohilla, HoD,
Department of Training and Placement has been a
great support, picking up calls even at midnight. This
year we have improved the M. Tech (Biotechnology)
placements manifolds compared to last year.
COE
From a third person’s perspective, T&P is
considered as the most intimidating place of our
campus. You might put your first step here with
exorbitant apprehension, but you will definitely end
up putting your last step out of here with boundless
happiness. In unofficial words, it is a place of laughter
and tears!
ECE
The level of enthusiasm and spontaneity is
easily more than any other department in DTU which is
complemented by a competent team that is always up
for the task, no matter how herculean it may be.
EE
It is a place where one can find the widest of smiles
in our campus representing the culmination of our
wonderful journey.
EEE
You are placed on the day you wake up on the right side of
the bed. No matter how hard you try, you will get placed on
the day you are meant to be.
ENE
A place where you can build yourself, your dreams, and your
future. A place where everyone wishes that they get beaten
up by their friends for getting the job offer.
EP
Summing up T&P in one line: True friends, great
mentors, strength, happiness, teamwork, learning
opportunities, good food, and grey shirts.
IT
It’s a mysterious place that can give you both gloom and
glee, sometimes both simultaneously. A place of countless
memories, from the intensity of the recruitment process
to the happiness of being finally placed.The only place to
witness a team of selfless people that make others’ dream
come true.
MAM
I think the T&P is one department in college which
exceeds everyone’s expectations. The department endlessly
pushes its staff and coordinators to invite
maximum companies for placements/internships.
MCE
While the T&P cell facilitates the journey of a well-deserved
placement, I believe it is also a place where a fourth year grows from
being a student to a professional.
ME
The department is strict yet flexible. The work it puts in for the students
is unmatchable by any other department of the University.
PIE
T&P for me has been like a second home in my 4th year. Everyone
knew that I would be found there or in my room. It’s not just the work
we did that matters to me but also the memories and laughs I shared
with the team.It is an extreme example of what a team can achieve,
with PCs willing to look beyond their placements and a tireless staff
which works unusual timings all the time.

Working at the T&P dept is an exceptional experience which helps
one develop into a well rounded professional, incorporating skills like
networking, management, handling pressure, and a lot of jugaad.

The only place which though built with stones of the 80s can still quite
easily bear the load of ever-increasing seats at DTU.
