SINGLES RUN 2019
IS A HUGE SUCCESS
The Philippines’ biggest gathering of singles
finally happened last February 10 at the
Liwasang Ulalim, CCP Complex. More than
3, 000 runners happily celebrated their
singlehood with a school fair themed fun
run experience and, of course, prizes from
the generous sponsors made the event more
exciting.
EXCITING ACTIVITIES
Before the main event started, various booths
were placed at the grounds to set the mood
of all the participants. Most of the girls went
to the Marriage Booth to take pictures with
a wedding veil on their head while holding a
bouquet of flowers. Meanwhile, warm hugs
and sweet kisses filled the atmosphere at the
Kissing Booth and Free Hugs booth.
Singles Run 2019 is definitely more than just
a fun run event for all the single people. It
promotes healthy lifestyle through active
participation in sports activities. Moreover, it
became a huge platform to raise awareness for
all the dialysis patients in the Philippines as it
subsidizes the Dialysis PH Support Group Inc.
RAFFLE DRAWS AND BITTER SWEET
PERFORMANCES
At the latter part of the event, raffle draws and
the awarding ceremony for all the winners of
3K, 5K, 10K and 16K categories took place.
Sharp Philippines, as one of the major sponsors,
drawn winners for an overwhelming numbers of
appliances, like flat-screen televisions, electric
fans and washing machine.
Wrapping up the event were bitter-sweet
performances from Ampalaya Monologues,
which ultimately gave relatable lines to all the
pinaasa at umasa. Well, we all have our fair
share of heartbreaks.
The first-ever Singles Run is presented by RED
Sports by RED Entertainment and RSRJ Events
Management under the #RUN4UrLife series.
Headed by beauty queen-triathlete Alexandra
Faith Garcia and Mr. Richie de Quina, the event
successfully made a mark this love season. This
is co-presented by Sharp Philippines. n
