Griffins girls water polo player<br />
makes a splash in April contest<br />

Jordan Bruni started<br />
playing water polo at 9<br />
years old. She followed in<br />
the footsteps of her mother,<br />
who played in college.<br />
And in the pool, she has<br />
made it to state once for<br />
swimming and twice for<br />
water polo.<br />
In her final season with<br />
the Griffins girls water<br />
polo team, Bruni is hoping<br />
to find herself there<br />
one more time. And she is<br />
claiming at least one more<br />
accolade along the way.<br />
Bruni recently won<br />
22nd Century Media’s<br />
April Athlete of the Month<br />
competition.<br />

south suburban newspapers<br />
against one another in<br />
an online voting contest.<br />
