The Gooden School
Gooden School - Summer classes on the beautiful campus of The Gooden School in Sierra
Madre provide students in kindergarten through eighth-grade with opportunities for creativity
and new experiences, such as playing the ukulele, learning French and Spanish, sewing,
dance, STEAM classes, and more. Valuable classes in ISEE and HSPT test preparation and
Executive Functioning will also be offered. “The Gooden Summer Program offers both
traditional summer enrichment and opportunities for students to try new things in a fun and
supportive environment,” said Laurie Tortell, Director of the Summer School Program at The
Gooden School. Gooden‘s summer program is offered in two sessions, June 17 through July
3 and July 8 through July 26, Monday through Friday. Before and after class childcare is also

Immaculate Heart Middle School
Immaculate Heart Middle School is gearing up for an exciting summer of enrichment by
offering an array of one week, two week, and four week classes for girls entering grades four
through eight. A variety of academic and creative courses are available, including Animal
Communication & Behavior, Coding and Robotics, Creative Movie Making, Drawing &
Design, English and Math Review, Forensics, Knitting, Salsa & Ballet Folklorico, Photography,
Swimming, Yoga, and more! The summer program runs from June 17 through July 12.
Students may register for up to three morning courses and a variety of afternoon classes and

Island Packers visits all five of the islands that make up the Channel Islands National Park

La Salle’s Camp Kids Klub offers 10 fun-filled, themed weeks for children entering K-9th
grade—empowering children to explore from the mountains to the sea and everything in
between! Each week, campers attend field trips, swim lessons and exciting activities! This
full day program is all inclusive—complimenting parents’ busy schedules with camp hours
from 7:30AM-6PM and extended morning and evening options—as well as breakfast, lunch,
and snacks included! There are also 1 week specialty camps (paintball camp, go-kart camp,

Los Angeles Childrens Chorus
Los Angeles Children’s Chorus offers children the opportunity to grow musically by supporting
their healthy vocal development via a comprehensive, balanced, sequential program.
Children enjoy the shared experience of creating choral music with their ensembles; acquire
musicianship skills; develop individual voices through one-on-one vocal coaching; and
build camaraderie and the “spirit of the ensemble” with fellow choristers at retreats and in
rehearsal. LACC’s season begins in late summer with auditions the first week of June.
Los Angeles Writing Project’s Summer Camps 2019
The Los Angeles Writing Project is a non-profit organization affiliated with the National
Writing Project. Located at Cal State LA, we are in our 18th year of offering arts-integrated,
quality enrichment activities. All of our instructors are experienced classroom teachers,
dedicated to creating safe and rich learning environments, which ensures that every summer,
students in grades 1st-12th leave with the confidence they can use their newly acquired
knowledge, strategies, skills, and creativity in their lifelong journey of writing, reading, math,
STEAM, and theater. We also offer Family Writing Workshop, a unique opportunity for the
whole family to participate in arts-integrated writing projects based on shared experiences,
memories, interest, culture, and language. We are an inclusive program with Special Education
Assistants to provide support for children with different learning abilities.
