Life Science Cares is on a mission—to eradicate poverty and its effects in our community—by harnessing
the industry’s human & financial resources in a collective effort. We are at an inflection point as we enter
2019 and are poised to significantly grow our work with your support.
We’re excited to launch an LSC corporate membership effort in 2019, allowing us to set a sustainable
baseline of our fundraising and increase our commitment to our nonprofit partners doing the best work
in basic human survival, education and economic sustainability. Member companies will have access to
dozens of volunteer events and programs throughout the year, as well as support to plan custom corporate
volunteerism programs working with LSC staff.
We continue to host signature events to raise money and awareness of our partners and their incredible
work. These programs provide an opportunity to increase your organization’s visibility in our community.

products, or services in front of our rapidly growing network of members, industry leaders and decision
makers.

Life Science Cares Impact Breakfast, now in its third year, is an
incredible celebration of the power of our collective effort.

Council of Champions Mixers
January 30, 2019—Cambridge

Our Council of Champions Mixers attract a wide-range of our network
throughout the industry, from young professionals to leadership,
and allow for maximum visibility for sponsors who wish to be known
for their good work.
Each Mixer also features one of our nonprofit partner organizations, and sponsors or hosts are given
the opportunity to introduce the organization.
75-100 attendees per event
Sponsorship opportunities are available between $500-$2,500.
We also look for organizations willing to host these events at their office or building.

Board of Advisors Reception
November 2019
The Life Science Cares Board of Advisors Reception is the only
annual gathering of all LSC Advisors and spouses, and an evening
to recognize and celebrate LSC’s progress toward our mission
of fighting poverty in Greater Boston.
Each year, we welcome between 90-100 Advisors (all C-level executives from across the industry)
and their spouses to network while celebrating LSC’s progress toward our mission.

Sponsorship is $3,000 and limited to one sponsor per category (bank, staffing firm, CRO, etc.)
Sponsors receive access for two representatives (and their spouses, if desired) to attend the event,
as well as the opportunity to review the guest list in advance.
Sponsors will also be recognized in remarks made at the event and on small signs throughout the venue.

Why join Life Science Cares?
It’s good business. Research shows a well-designed corporate social responsibility program increases employee
engagement and productivity, while reducing employee turnover and the costs associated with turnover. And
employees these days expect a diverse array of volunteer opportunities year-round.
It’s good citizenship. Poverty, wealth inequality and the opportunity gap are the societal challenges of our time in
Greater Boston. With more than 20% of Boston families living in poverty, not working to address the issue means we

How does it work?
1. Life Science Cares finds and evaluates nonprofit organizations doing the most effective and impactful work
fighting poverty in Greater Boston. Through an application and grant review process, we find programs and
organizations where we can have clear, measurable and unique impact as an industry.
2. LSC provides financial grants to these partners and builds deep relationships to understand how the industry’s
other resources (time & talent) can be put to use.
3. We work across our member organizations to recruit volunteers to meet our partners’ needs. These can be
individuals, informal company teams or all-company efforts, and programs can be structured for one-time or
ongoing participation. You receive seasonal volunteer calendars, monthly newsletters and invitation to upcoming
events and share with your entire team.
4. LSC tracks and publicizes the results of our collective efforts—via regular member communications, companyspecific
impact reports, materials you can share via your Intranet or employee communications vehicles, social
media and traditional media channels.
Life Science Cares member companies get access to 100+ volunteer opportunities and events
