Enjoy a wheelie fun family day out!
There’s nothing better than spending time with the
family, especially if it’s at an event that has so many
benefits. Lincolnshire’s first Cycle Fest on Saturday,
June 1, ticks all the boxes, so make sure you put the
date in your diary or on your kitchen planner.
This event promises plenty
for all ages to enjoy. Cycling
is fun, good for everyone’s
health and wellbeing and it’s
sustainable and eco-friendly.
Best of all Cycle Fest is FREE!
Based in the grounds of
Doddington Hall – the day
before the Giant Lincoln
Sportive – the day will be
packed with activities.
Cyclists can try out a pump
bike track, saddle-up on an
exciting virtual velodrome
racing simulator and test out
have-a-go KMX karts. There
are children’s mountain bike
taster sessions too.
The day has been organised
by Access Lincoln (which is
supported by Lincoln BIG),
North Kesteven District
Council and Giant and
features a treat for riders who
want to go a little further.
They have the opportunity to
join a led-ride and treasure
hunt in Skellingthorpe Old
Wood. Giant will also have
demonstration bikes available
at the event for people to
use on the ride and they will
be providing free bike safety
checks.
Access Lincoln is a
Lincolnshire County Council
initiative and, in addition to
being supported by Lincoln
BIG, is funded by the
Department of Transport.
