person like you. I know it's the most
cheesy thing ever; like the kind of stuff
your mother tells you to make you feel
good about yourself.
But that's exactly the point.
The number one thing that makes us
forget who we are is comparison.
I'm not sure why, but everybody has a bit
of low self esteem in their bones. Some
have lots of it (hands up here). Everybody
has green eyes—we just compare ourselves
with each other. It's one of the saddest
thing about life.
I love this whole idea of everybody being
their own unique and special. How I got
the idea is something I can't fathom.
But I believe it. Not because I want to or
because it feels good (it does feel good,
though), but because it's true—fact or
not.2:9).
But sometimes we forget all these truths
when we look at others and wish to be in
their shoes. That is, Comparison.

But sometimes we forget all these truths

their shoes. That is, Comparison.
And if you're battling comparison. I think
you should start right there—choose to
believe it. Believe you're your own unique
and special- peculiar. Believe all that God
says about you. And that there is no other
Feeling good about yourself is the
only sign that says you don't wish for
someone else's life—no comparison.
Believe it and see that it's all beautiful
when you wake one faithful day
to walk out confidently and not
understand why in the world anybody
will feel like someone else is better
than them. Because you love yourself
and you would never even dream of
changing any part of you in any way.
Because really, there's nothing to
compare about.
Some days will be different though.
