Choral Evensong
Buzzbox
A hive of activity for young families. 10.00 am to
12.00 noon. On the 3rd Saturday of each month, in
the parish church. Each session has a themed ‘Sharing
Circle’; illustrated and acted stories from the Bible;
children’s discussions; songs; prayers; and birthday
celebrations. The next meeting will be in church at
10.00am on 15th June when the topic will be “The
Trinity”. All are welcome.
Mothers’ Union
The Swaffham branch of the MU usually meets on
the 2nd Thursday of the month - now in the Baptist
Rooms - and the next meeting will on Thursday 13th
June. The speaker will be Sister Francis from the
Sacred Heart Convent. Coffee/tea is served from
9.30am. Enquiries to Julia on 720041.
Christian Aid Week
The 2019 National Christian Aid week took place
between the 12th – 18th May as previously
announced, and once again the Swaffham street
collectors, organised by Swaffham Churches Together,
were out and about on Saturday 18th May. The
results were most encouraging and the generosity
of the Swaffham people (and others in town on that
morning) was really heart-warming. Thank you to all
the collectors and for the support Churches Together
in Swaffham and District received from many people.
The day’s total was £328 with the possibility of
further donations.

A date for your diaries. Swaffham & District Churches
Together members and friends are invited to come
along to a `Bring n Share` picnic on Saturday 8th
June from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. The venue is The
Community Centre, Campingland, Swaffham. Please
come along to share a friendly social afternoon -
hopefully bathed in warm sunshine.
Parish Church Stewarding
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) try to keep the
parish church open during the day, for visitors and
those wishing to have some solitude or personal and
silent prayer. The PCC also tries to ensure that there is
at least one steward at all times to welcome visitors.
Most of the stewards (sometimes called ‘churchsitters’)
come from members of the congregation,
but the PCC would like to encourage anyone else,
who would like to assist in this way, to volunteer
the occasional hour or so. This would be much
appreciated and if you wish to be involved in this way
