In addition to the activities described in the program, we offer activities for the children
for before, during and after the program:
Penpals: To encourage a deeper exchange of cultures and to create expectation towards the trip, we offer a postal
exchange between the families participants and children of the northern communities of Ecuador that we will visit
(Otavalo, Zuleta, El Chota, etc.). This activity is usually conducted four months previous to the trip so that a couple
of letters can be exchanged and the penpals can meet during their trip to Ecuador.
Journal for their trip to Ecuador: We prepare a journal and scrapbook (this is prepared for each program, as each
itinerary can be custom made) that we give to the children upon their arrival. The journal contains fun and
interesting facts of the places the itinerary visits and includes activities for the children as painting, quizzes and
unused pages for them to write and paint. A lovely souvenir from their journey!
Kids trip leader: Apart from the guide that will accompany you during the tour, we can put, at your request, a
second staff member, specialized in children, so that he/she can join the children and guide (accompany them
through all the activities of the trip. This enables parents to have more free time and choose which activities they
want to join. The Trip Leader will also entertain children during the transfers and help parents during meals.
