Thereare four swimming infrastructures to
satisfy thedemands of all shore-goers and
one of them, theLido, has been awarded an
architectural prize and features awhirlpool,
an underground cave,akiosk,and thelawn
forsunbathing, forpeace and quiet, fun, and
people-watching. And obviouslyyou can hire
pedal-boats, rowing boats, and surfequipment.
The sailing club is just ahop, skip, and
jumpaway,and thelake’sneighbours also
partake in thefun, withbirds swooping above
youand theother lake’sinhabitants dozing in
thereeds.
Then it’s time to head backtothe shoreby
circling thelake. Youcan walk,run, cycle,
and even push thepram–you won’tregretit.

LAKE POOLS &LIDO —Onthe northern shore ofthe lake
there are four public pools with affiliated restaurants and
boat rental.
BIOTOPE —250 bird species nest here throughout the year,
and around 30 dragonfly species live all-year round in the
protected area. Youcan find 14 information boards scattered
around the circular lake path packed with interesting titbits
about this area.
LEUCHTENBURG —The ruin Leuchtenburg was originally the
home of the Lords ofRottenburg and goes asfar back asthe
13th century. Today, only the ruins remain, with abeautiful
view over the Lake Kaltern, the South Tyrolean Wine Road and
the Etsch Valley.
