MEG REPORT<br />
MEG are pleased to announce that the new facility at the HUB will be<br />
available for visiting on the day of the Muirkirk Gala Day. Please come along<br />
for a chance to view the new facilities including the brand new Gym<br />
equipment. On the subject of then Gala Day, MEG have agreed to make a<br />
donation of £250 towards the cost of the Gala Day itself.<br />
On the subject of the Gym, it is hoped that we can find a self-sustaining<br />
group of Gym users who will help run the new fitness suite and we invite<br />
them to make contact with MEG as soon as is practical.<br />
I would also to extend a big thank you to all the members of the MEG group<br />
who have worked very hard this year to help secure significant Participatory<br />
Budgeting funding for Muirkirk, to help in the securing of the new Muirkirk<br />
Hub facility and who have worked tirelessly to help overcome the snagging<br />
problems at the same new facility. Finally an extra special thanks to all the<br />
volunteers at the shop, as without their efforts none of the above would be<br />
possible. To help put the efforts of the volunteers in perspective, it is their<br />
vital work in fund raising that helps raise the £2500 a year that is needed just<br />
to maintain and insure the Skateboard Park, and this is only one of many<br />
projects and facilities that their tireless work at the shop supports and<br />
maintains.<br />
