there, and LeBron’s childhood<br />

Gloria James is LeBron<br />
James’s mother. She was born<br />
on February 4, 1968, and grew<br />
up in Akron, Ohio. She gave birth<br />
to LeBron at age 16. Her mother,<br />
who was helping her raise<br />
LeBron at the time, died of a<br />
heart attack on Christmas day<br />
when Gloria was only 19. Gloria<br />
couldn’t afford to pay for their<br />
house without her mom, so she<br />
moved out and started living in a<br />
friend’s apartment. It was all<br />
downhill from there.
