Crufts Shopping Experience
The message about the importance of keeping our
dog’s teeth clean and healthy is picking up
momentum. So much so that there were an array
of different products at Cru\s helping you to do
just that. Some have been men?oned in previous
magazines, but the latest product from Lily’s
Kitchen – the Wooarush – hasn’t yet been
included. Available a Cru\s, this chew is
recommended for daily use. It has a spongey
texture, so it can get right to the gumline to help
remove the plaque. Although the small version is
recommended for dog’s up to 10kg. Aussies
sampling it ate it so quickly, it's not possible to be
sure it had any real effect. The medium size did

not the first comb you might choose to buy! But this
Stainless steel half moon shape is designed to
groom Facial area comb developed for easy
combing of round faces while maintaining of safety
of dogs eye area. When grooming, the comb gives
more body and shape.
It’s 7.5 inch and should only be used for finishing.
And if pink is not your colour – well there is a s/s
silver op?on. Yes you can buy cheaper combs, but
this gives a more professional finish. Plus – you
don’t get the shiny metal coa?ng peeling off.
There is a trend for owners to use harnesses on
their dogs. The benefits are perhaps for a future
edi?on of the Magazine. But when trying to find
suitable harnesses for Aussies it can be a
problem. They have longer backs and o\en
deeper chests than the off the shelf harnesses.

Seems a lot but its designed to be easy to fit and
comfortable for the dog. Worth a look if you are
thinking of a harness.
Tug-Eze gentle rope leads. These handmade
leads are custom-made to suit you. Easy on the
hands should you dog pull and jerk, so the end
of nylon leads burning your hand. They make
collars as well. Something to consider when
buying your next collar and lead.
Viewers of ‘I’m a Celebrity’ will be aware that
the Bush tucker challenges o\en feature
insects. Well now you can let your Aussies have
a go at their own tucker challenge. This dog
food has insects as the source of the protein.

Whiff Whaff Designs certainly needs a mention.
Their collars, harnesses, leads etc were selling
like hot cakes at Crufts. The inspiration started
when the company owner was tempted to buy
some of the colourful dog accessories for her
own dogs. She was so disappointed the items
were more pretty than practical and they fell
apart all too soon. She decided to make her own
range that would be durable and worth the

the range. She has terriers, so she understands
what will suit them. Colour and durability wise.
