The Weekly Times - TWT - 5th June 2019

The Weekly Times - TWT - cheekily describes itself as a campaigning, crusading, truth-seeking, death defying, Aussie battler-aligned, one-eyed-Tiger-led news organisation dedicated to Sydney's north west. It's one of the few remaining independently run community newspapers and turns 100 years old in 2021 - so if you want to show your support for independent media, have a quick look at the paper, submit a letter to the editor via its website or like or share one of its posts on social media. The flip book - or digital edition/replica - of the 5th June edition of TWT can be reached here: https://weeklytimes.com.au/the-weekly-times-twt-5th-june-2019/ And the most current edition of TWT is always reachable using this short address: bit.ly/OurTWT

Tigers Welcome
Tricky to Parra!
Tigers are looking forward to welcome
Tricky Ricky and his Hot Air Capital
Faders to the new Parra stadium
this Friday night.
By the one eyed Tiger
We can assure them
they won’t be frozen
coz Tigers Supercoach
Michael
Madge Maguire has
got the boys ready
to serve up some hot
treatment to our visitors.
Good news for all
Tiger fans is the imminent
return of club
favourite Chris Lawrence
who has been
training strongly
since his unfortunate
accident at training
mishap.
And we wish Tigers
skipper and fullback
Moses Mbye a safe
return after tonight’s
State of Oblivion encounter
in the Cane
Toad capital.
Most genuine Tigers
are already planning
for our next two outings
at Australia’s
best footy ground at
Leichhardt Oval HQ.
It’s criminal we only
have three at home
this year. Hopefully
better luck next year.
Meanwhile now is
the time to get set
with the Ma-in-Law’s
Funeral Fund on the
Tigers for this year’s
Grand Final.
And for an extra tip
have a bet on the Tigers
v Bunnies in the
big day on October
6 on the 50th anniversary
or Balmain
Tigers v Bunnies in
1969. What a beauty!
And the same result!
Meanwhile get out
to Parra this Friday.
See ya there.
Tigers utility star Ryan Matterson is ready if required
for NSW in tonight’s State of Origin blockbuster
against Queensland at Suncorp Stadium.
The ball playing forward is the Blues 18th man and
would do his State proud. Matterson has turned in
skilful performances for the Tigers in 2019 and is
one of the competition’s in-form forwards.
