Mill Future in Doubt
The future of the listed Eckersley Mill site hangs in
the balance after experiencing damage to one of
its walls. The southern wall was deemed to be in
danger of immediate collapse, while the western
wall was also damaged.
The affected walls have been removed, along with
much of the Weaving Sheds. Historic England
have been informed and it is hoped they will offer
support to ensure the mill doesn’t deteriorate
further.
