A huge, inclusive music festival
comes to Standish this July.
Live Life Fest
Focused around a Retro Carnival
theme, the festival encourages
visitors to don their blue suede
shoes and sequinned hot pants
for a fabulous day of music and
entertainment. There’s plenty to
keep the whole family entertained
on the day – from a ‘trashion show’
showcasing recycled garments
to a comedy tent and cabaret
performances, you definitely won’t
be bored.
This year’s event also features physical theatre
performances, live music on two stages, circus acts,
vintage vehicles and festival hair & make-up stalls.
Better yet, all proceeds from the event go to local
charities My Life and My Life My Way, helping to
support vulnerable people in the community and
alleviate loneliness.
CEO of My Life Caroline Tomlinson said: ‘We
believe that everyone benefits from being part of
a community, and what better way to get together
than enjoying fabulous entertainment in the
summer sun? The Live Life Festival is going to be a
fantastic day out and everyone is welcome!’
The fully accessible event takes place on Saturday,
July 6 from 11am-8pm at the Thompson House
Equestrian Centre on Pepper Lane, Standish.
Tickets cost just £5 and are available online at www.
my-life.org.uk or by calling 01257 472900.
Woodland Theatre
Haigh’s Walled Garden plays host to a variety of
outdoor theatre shows this summer.
The programme kicks off in July with showings of
Alice Through the Looking Glass and Cinderella,
before performances of The Little Mermaid,
Goldilocks & the Three Bears, The Wizard of Oz and
more hit the stage in August.
