Party<br />

Parkway. Hey teens and<br />
tweens. Come hang out at<br />
the library after hours for<br />
a totally tubular ‘80s extravaganza.<br />
This is going<br />
to be like so gnarly. Music,<br />
glow-in-the-dark games,<br />
snacks, and everything ‘80s<br />
are included. Come dressed<br />
in your most righteous<br />
‘80s attire. There will<br />
be a costume contest and<br />
cool prizes awarded to the<br />
winner. Permission form<br />
packets are available at the<br />
library and must be filled<br />
out in full by your parent/<br />
guardian. You must come<br />
in to the library and pick up<br />
a registration form in order<br />
to register for this event, or<br />
you may print out a registration<br />
packet and bring<br />
the completed form back<br />
to the Adult Services desk.<br />

of the month throughout<br />
the summer. Admission is<br />

The Beatles: Their History<br />
in One Hour<br />

June 26. As a musical<br />
entity, the Beatles has not<br />
existed for over 45 years,<br />
yet their story, their personalities<br />
and most importantly<br />
their music continues<br />
to influence our culture and<br />
our expectations of popular<br />
music. With the use of audio<br />
and visual content, participants<br />
will learn the arc<br />
of the Beatles career from<br />
their development in Liverpool,<br />
through Beatlemania<br />
into their psychedelic<br />
phase and finally their dissolution.<br />
Participants will<br />
have a deep appreciation<br />
for the Beatles incredible<br />
productivity, their musical<br />
and lyrical maturity<br />
and their cultural impact.<br />
