Ponsonby Rd Bar’s<br />
4th Anniversary party<br />
11th of May 2019 was Ponsonby Rd Bar’s 4th Anniversary bash, celebrating<br />
Tamati Coffey and partner Tim Smith’s 4th year in business running Rotorua’s<br />
most gay-friendly nightspot.<br />
The theme of the night was ‘take it to the<br />
old skool’ so people were encouraged to<br />
dress up in their best 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s<br />
outfits (promoted on Facebook).<br />
All the bar staff had wonderful Retro<br />
costumes and wigs on and they were<br />
serving up some delicious nibbles<br />
lovingly prepared from their new<br />
restaurant on Eat Street, Our Place.<br />
One of Auckland’s most popular drag<br />
queen’s, Miss Ribena, came down for<br />
the event to MC and provide some<br />
outrageous life, laughs and colour to<br />
the party.<br />
Rotorua singer Krissey Knap sang<br />
some catchy tunes from 5pm and<br />
got many people up on their feet<br />
dancing.<br />
