Winter - A time to<br />
get stuck in!<br />

After a very good summer season, winter is now upon us<br />
all over New Zealand. At <strong>Guysers</strong> we spend this time to<br />
make further improvements to our bed & breakfast.<br />
They say that kitchens and bathrooms are<br />
the most expensive things to upgrade in any<br />
home. At <strong>Guysers</strong> we’ve be itching to get our<br />
2 guest bathrooms renovated to make them<br />
more modern and to have new carpet installed<br />
throughout the whole house, so during the<br />
month of May we got stuck in with this big<br />
project (albeit with a sore pocket!).<br />
First we had to strip off all the old wallpaper<br />
from both bathrooms:<br />
Then we had to rip up the dated 1970’s carpet<br />
that the previous owners stupidly put down<br />
in the bathrooms and throughout the house.<br />
New carpet was installed in the lounge,<br />
dining area, hallway and bedrooms.<br />
We then had a plumber come in and remove<br />
one vanity and take out 2 toilets so we could<br />
work on the wall surfaces behind and so the<br />
new hard flooring could go underneath:<br />
