22 CAPTURE MANIA PHOTOGRAPHY MAGAZINE | ISSUE 9 Q- Do you have any tips for aspiring wildlife photographers? First thing, learn how to use your camera in all different ways. You need to invest in a good tele lens. Find your own path and nd some species that you like and learn everything about them. Only that way will you be able to take pictures that are extra ordinary. Low perspective - high pulse Since I like to have a low perspective, I let my tri pod stay in the car. For four reasons. 1. The photo bag is heavy enough as it is. 2. The low perspective is mentioned. 3. If I had to stand on the mountain plateau with a tripod, I’m visible to other mountain hikers - and the chance of a visit of a hikers is increasing. 4. But the main reason is that the animals will not see me. That’s why my camouflage is my best friend - in addition to a 600mm and 800mm! I use a camouflage called “Jervenduken”. It’s a Norwegian brand and its water proof, wind stopping and with a good isolation. Q- What is your favorite lens? I use my Nikon 600/4 in approx. in 70% of my work. Q- What do you do to polish your photographic skills? I play a lot – I´m willing to experiment with new techniques and equipment to take my photographic goals to another level.
