My name is Lina Cristina Escovar Alfaro<br />
Haselof and I am an amateur photographer<br />
and I love photography. As a child,<br />
my first contact with photography was through<br />
my father when he acquired an analogue Leica<br />
machine and after photographing, he made the<br />
revelation at home. As a teenager I got my first<br />
machine, a Kodak xereta and in adulthood my<br />
first analog DSLR was a Canon and my first digital<br />
was a 3 megapixel Olympus and since 2000 I only<br />
use DSLR Full frame from Nikon. I have always<br />
been passionate about photography and I refer to<br />
photographers such as Ansel Adams, Ernst Haas,<br />
Dorothea Lange, Cartier Bresson, Annie Leibovitz,<br />
Sebastião Salgado, Araquém de Alcântara among<br />
others. My preference in photography is for nature,<br />
but I do not rule out entering the world of portraits<br />
... I conclude my presentation with the phrase of<br />
the photographer Annie Leibovitz: “If I did not have<br />
my camera to remind me constantly that I’m here<br />
to do this. I would have derailed, I think. I would<br />
have forgotten my reason for existing. “<br />
