Aesthetica Short Film Festival
has partnered with BFI Film
Audience Network to present
the Aesthetica Award-Winning
Film Tour; an initiative aimed
at bringing cinema to the
community in the North of
England and encouraging
positive engagement with
independent film.
These 7 powerful films explore
contemporary social issues,
inspiring life stories and
beautifully heart-warming
narratives across animation,
drama, documentary and
dance. The selection features
Oscar-nominated and BAFTAnominated
works.

Fire and Rain is not a tribute or
sound-a-like act. It’s simply a
collection of five of the best
musicians from the north of
England coming together to
play music they love. Expect
the classic James Taylor and
Carole King songs played with
skill, passion, emotion, humour
and humility. Incredibly
in-demand musicians in their
own right, Tom Townsend (The
Tom Townsend Blues Band)
Rich Adams and Mark Gordon
(Stony), Paul Tilley and Bob
Walker abandon their usual
bands and projects for this
one-off tour to bring the joy
of Taylor and King’s music to
you in what they call a ‘magical
musical holiday’.

When Sherlock Holmes sends
Doctor Watson to investigate,

surrounded by dense fog and a
community steeped in folklore,

line between reality and myth

eyes when confronted with the
impossible?

of H.G. Wells’ The War Of
The Worlds, Northern Stage
presents Sherlock Holmes’
most infamous case, adapted
from Arthur Conan Doyle’s
gothic classic.
