Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow begins MRO<br />

for Boeing 737NG at Krasnoyarsk Airport<br />

MOSCOW: The Bermuda Civil<br />

Aviation Authority (BCAA) has<br />

granted Volga-Dnepr Technics<br />

Moscow, provider of maintenance,<br />

repair and overhaul (MRO) services<br />

for foreign-made aircraft in Russia,<br />

the contract for Boeing 737NG<br />

maintenance at Krasnoyarsk Airport.<br />

Due to the expansion of the BCAA<br />

certificate VDTM engineering<br />

personnel m ay perform l i ne<br />

maintenance & troubleshoot the<br />

specified aircraft at the line<br />

maintenance station (LMS) in<br />

Krasnoyarsk, a city that is also one of<br />

the destination network points for<br />

air freight carriers belonging to<br />

Volga-Dnepr Group, AirBridgeCargo<br />

& ATRAN, the company announced.<br />

“The decision to obtain BCAA<br />

approval for the Boeing 737NG<br />

maintenance was primarily due to<br />

the intention to support our regular<br />

customer, ATRAN freight carrier<br />

which has quite recently begun to<br />

operate its new type of aircraft on<br />

route to Krasnoyarsk. We are proud<br />

that we have successfully gained<br />

certification in a short time and<br />

expanded the range of aircraft<br />

maintained at LMS in Krasnoyarsk by<br />

adding the Boeing 737NG to the<br />

existing Boeing 737CL, Boeing 747-<br />

400 and Boeing 747-8,” said<br />

Konstantin Surkov, CEO of Volga-<br />

Dnepr Technics Moscow.<br />

VDTM says it plans to engage new<br />

customers to maintain the Boeing<br />

737NG in Krasnoyarsk, which will be<br />

possible thanks to the high quality of<br />

the services provided, the popularity<br />

of this type of aircraft among other<br />

Russian airlines and the progress of<br />

the Krasnoyarsk Airport, which<br />

increased passenger traffic by more<br />

than 12% in 2018 and the volume of<br />

cargo handled by 46%.<br />
