Istanbul Airport launches 'It is a Dream, Come True' book<br />
chronicling Turkey's biggest aviation project<br />
ISTANBUL: Turkey has published<br />
a new book “It is a Dream Come<br />
True” chronicling the country's<br />
biggest aviation project, the<br />
Istanbul Airport, now touted as the<br />
world's biggest airport.<br />
İGA, the operator of Istanbul<br />
Airport, the gigantic airport was<br />
completed within just 42 months<br />
and that the book was published as<br />
a major resource for the country's<br />
aviation sector.<br />
The book tells the story of all the<br />
processes of Istanbul Airport from<br />
the past to the present, the<br />
narratives of people who have<br />
witnessed and directed the project,<br />
as well as the detailed construction<br />
p r o c e s s , i n c l u d i n g t h e<br />
contributions of many people, from<br />
architects to engineers, from<br />
workers to laborers, who resisted all<br />
obstacles and who worked hard to<br />
build the Victory Monument.<br />
“In the book, in which all the<br />
processes of Istanbul Airport are<br />
explained, the history of Istanbul,<br />
the tender processes of the airport,<br />
environmental and sustainability<br />
studies, the firsts in construction,<br />
technological infrastructure, the<br />
special systems of the airport and<br />
m o s t i m p o r t a n t l y t h e<br />
developments behind the scenes of<br />
the construction process are<br />
explained,” said IGA.<br />
