of more than $10 billion to
science and research. It includes
the largest ever boost
at Sheridan College. Institutions
that endorse the
charter commit to embed the
principles of equity, diversity
and inclusiveness in their
policies, practices, action
plans and culture.
“Our government is committed to returning science and research to their rightful place.
That’s why we’re investing in students and small-to medium-sized businesses so they can work
together to make discoveries and continue innovating to improve the quality of life of all Canadians.
These collaborations will boost economic development and create jobs across the country.”
~ The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport
“I am proud to be part of a Government which is so dedicated to science and research. The
investment being celebrated today will not only enhance Canada’s world-class research capacity,
but will also help businesses innovate to create growth, and help colleges train the next generation
