Welcome
to the next 5 years of CENSIS
Since start-up in 2013, CENSIS has become the centre of excellence
for sensing, imaging and Internet of Things technologies. We are
now entering Phase 2 of our Scottish Government funding.
CENSIS works with organisations of all sizes to explore innovation
and overcome technology barriers to achieve business
transformation.
As one of Scotland’s innovation centres, our focus is not only on
creating sustainable economic value in the Scottish economy, but
also generating social benefit. To do this, our industry-experienced
engineering and project management teams work directly with
companies, or in collaborative teams with specialist university
research experts.
Working with us allows organisations to implement quality,
efficiency and performance improvements and fast-track the
development of new products and services for global markets.
“It is fantastic to see how
CENSIS is succeeding
in gaining mindshare in
Scotland. Your ventures
into IoT are an exciting
area of collaboration and
I look forward to this
continuing and building
on the relationships that
we’ve developed with the
CENSIS team to date.”
SIS Markets
Industry 4.0
In manufacturing, the 4th
industrial revolution is
already here. Embracing
it will bring lower
costs, higher revenues,
increased productivity
and rapid innovation. You
can work with CENSIS to
take your next step - or
even the first - towards
a digital future.
Cyber security
As connectivity
increases, so do concerns
about hacking.
We know, that if
manufacturers design in
security from the start
of their products, that
these products will come
to market without easily
exploitable vulnerabilities.
CENSIS is supporting
projects in cyber security
and resilience and will
continue to work with
industry to ensure that
electronic devices are
as safe as possible. We
have the skills to ensure
that your product is
secure by design.
CENSIS works across the
full stack from generating
raw data to visualisation.
The value of sensor and
imaging systems is in
transforming raw data into
Information
Enabling technologies
Sensing, imaging and
IoT are key enabling
technologies which
provide the basis for
innovation across a wide
range of products and
services across all markets.
Converting the measured data
The Vision Lab
CENSIS has invested
in hardware and
software to develop a
dedicated facility to help
organisations use the
latest technology in the
fields of computer vision.
This allows us to
explore projects in:
l Event detection
l Object recognition
l Object tracking
l Motion estimation
l Image classification
l 3D reconstruction
Converting changes to signals
& prioritising valuable data
