Young D’Antonio is stoked up
about his StockedUp business

StockedUp is a company
that offers educational
courses for people
who want to learn about
the business and successful
strategies for trading
stocks and options, as
well as an algorithm for
people who already trade
stocks and just want a
quality tool to help with
the analysis of them.
That sounds impressive.
Even more impressive
is that the company was
founded two years ago by
then-15-year-old Michael
D’Antonio, a Century Junior
High School graduate
and Mount Carmel High
School senior-to-be.
While in middle school,
D’Antonio, his brothers
and his cousins were constantly
engaged in activity
with the Minecraft video
game. Through that experience,
D’Antonio developed
an interest in computer
programming, and
in seventh grade he and
a cousin generated their
own server and game.
As time progressed,
D’Antonio continually
conducted extensive research
on his own to further
educate himself and
hone his programming
skills.
While he maintained a
keen interest in programming,
D’Antonio also
found other matters to
be highly captivating. In
particular, he noticed that
many of the wealthy characters
in television shows
and movies were involved
in the stock market.
Fueled by that intrigue,
as an eighth-grader he
started researching stock
market terminology and
functions.
Everything came together
for D’Antonio as
he rounded out his freshman
year of high school.
His Facebook group was
growing significantly, he
had developed a strategy
that was successfully
earning people money,
and he had created an algorithm
that people found
to be reliable and useful.
He said that the company’s
personal touch is
what has helped make it
a reputable firm, which in
turn has helped it grow.
“If you’re on my team,
you can send me a message
at any time,” he said.
“I’ll explain what I’m
trading, why I’m trading
it and what the markets
are doing. It’s almost like
a friendship.”
It could be a rich friendship.
“When people follow
the strategies that we
have to offer, they’ll make
money,” he said. “The
strategy is not that hard
to learn, it’s not overly
complicated, but you have
to have the discipline to
follow the strategy. Staying
disciplined is the main
variable.”
He has not yet finalized
his plans for college,
but he does have a strong
interest in attending the
University of Texas at
Austin to pursue a degree
in artificial intelligence.
D’Antonio’s father, who
is also named Michael
and is an entrepreneur,
has been his main mentor
throughout his professional
venture.
The elder D’Antonio
has been self-employed in
the bar-restaurant industry
for the past two decades
and said that many of the
same principles apply for
running a business in the
stock trading industry.
“I always listen to him
in regards to what he is
thinking or what he is
looking for, and then I
might share some strategies
that I may have used
over the past 20 years,”
the elder D’Antonio said.
“Sometimes there are
ideas that he shares with
me that I haven’t even
thought about for my own
business. So, we kind of
feed off each other.”
