WHAT IS CHEFS ON THE LOOSE?<br />
Our resp<strong>on</strong>sibility to <strong>the</strong> community is part of what drives us and we feel that<br />
<strong>the</strong> tools we provide to our chefs and culinary friends can not <strong>on</strong>ly help <strong>the</strong>m<br />
succeed and feed <strong>the</strong>ir guests, but indirectly supply meals to <strong>the</strong> many food<br />
insecure children, families and older adults in our backyard. Because hunger<br />
knows no age, for every piece of equipment we mark with a wheat stalk, 5% of<br />
<strong>the</strong> net rental will be d<strong>on</strong>ated to our community partner Feeding South Florida<br />
<strong>on</strong> a quarterly basis. For example, <strong>the</strong> rental of <strong>on</strong>e wood fired pizza oven will<br />
provide an estimated 160 meals for those in need here in South Florida.<br />
**Feeding South Florida is <strong>on</strong>e of 206 food banks in <strong>the</strong> Feeding America network that collectively provides food<br />
assistance to 46 milli<strong>on</strong> Americans struggling with hunger. Locally, Feeding South Florida rescues and distributes<br />
62 milli<strong>on</strong> pounds of food (51.6 milli<strong>on</strong> meals) annually to over 706,430 individuals – 236,190 of whom are<br />
children and 100,000 are older adults each year through direct-service programs and a network of more than<br />
400 n<strong>on</strong>profit partner agencies throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and M<strong>on</strong>roe Counties.**
