Groundwork North Wales
Overview
Groundwork North Wales is an independent Charity
part of the Groundwork federation of independent
charities. Each Groundwork Trust is a member of the
federation and signs up to a series of common aims,
objectives and processes.
Groundwork North Wales works alongside local
communities, public bodies, private companies and
other voluntary sector organisations to support
communities in need. Delivering projects across North
Wales creating better neighbourhoods, building skills
and job projects and helping people to live and work
in a greener way.
Based in Tanyfron, Wrexham Groundwork North
Wales have various projects running across Wrexham
and North Wales. Recently taking over the running
of the café now called ‘Caffi Cyfle’ and event space
‘Venue in the Park’ at Alyn Waters. The aim of the
café is to support the lives of individuals with all
abilities through the in-house work and volunteering
programme. The café creates delicious dishes using
fresh, sustainable sourced local ingredients.
Groundwork North will be hosting various children’s
activities over the summer holidays at Venue in the
Park as well some great craft workshops and social

Lead Mines near
Wrexham an
exciting visitor
attraction and
outdoor events
space.
The visitors centre is open every weekend, with free
parking and toilet facilities it’s a great place to visit
and explore. An exciting programme of activities
for all ages and abilities will be run during school
holidays.
