<strong>2018</strong> PARTICIPATING ARTISTS<br />
MIDDAY MUSIC SERIES<br />
A collaboration between the UT Butler School of Music and the Blanton,<br />
this monthly series explores the relationship between visual art and music.<br />
Performances take place in the museum’s Rapoport Atrium on select<br />
Tuesdays at 12 noon.<br />
THIRD THURSDAY MUSIC AT THE BLANTON<br />
A monthly performance series that features live music inspired by visual<br />
art on view, this series takes place on Third Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. in the<br />
Blanton’s Rapoport Atrium. Guest musicians work in a variety of genres,<br />
from jazz to rock to classical, and discuss how their selected compositions<br />
connect to works of art on display.<br />

SOUNDSPACE<br />
SoundSpace is an acclaimed Blanton performance series that takes place at<br />
the museum three times per year. It features a themed series of interdisciplinary<br />
performances throughout the museum’s galleries that explore connections<br />
between visual art and music. Musician, artist, and curator Steve Parker was the<br />
<strong>2018</strong> guest artistic director for the series; Parker was the winner of the <strong>2018</strong><br />
Tito’s Visual Art Prize.<br />
