Lifts<br />
All lifts are available on a 24 hour basis. Building<br />
Management is responsible for the maintenance of all<br />
lifts with 24 hours, 365 days per year breakdown and<br />
repair facility.<br />
To gain the best possible service from the lifts, the<br />
doors should never be obstructed and only the lift<br />
landing button in the chosen direction of travel be<br />
operated. Any faults noticed by a tenant should be<br />
reported to reception or security immediately.<br />
Lifts are not to be used in an emergency evacuation.<br />
There are 2 passenger lifts.<br />
Lift Service Provider Response<br />
Lift engineers will release the lift occupants as quickly<br />
as possible. No attempt should be made to leave the<br />
car until the lift engineer has confirmed that it is safe<br />
to do so.<br />
Lift Failure<br />
All lifts within <strong>Fothergill</strong> <strong>House</strong> are fitted with<br />
emergency alarms which give direct contact with the<br />
lift contractor which is manned 24 hours per day,<br />
everyday. Anyone trapped in a lift should press the<br />
alarm call button.<br />
