Asbestos
All reasonable measures have been taken to determine
the presence or likelihood of asbestos containing
materials (ACMs) being present at Fothergill House
Unless it has been specifically confirmed by survey that
no ACMs are present, tenants should presume that
ACMs are present in their demise and arrange further
surveys to satisfy their legal responsibilities.
Contractors should be advised accordingly.
Surveys undertaken on behalf of the landlord have
been conducted and the findings of those assessments
are available from the Facilities Manager. A copy of
the asbestos register is available at the Facilities
Manager office.
A permit to work will be required for any work on or in
the area immediately surrounding known ACMs.
The removal of any ACMs from the building must be
carried out in accordance with the Asbestos at Work
notified in advance of the intention to remove any
ACMs and provided with evidence that these
regulations are being complied with.
risk assessment undertaken on behalf of the landlord is
available from the Facilities Manager.
