It's been a mad couple of months (and more) since the last issue as we've been working overtime on digital projects that should come to fruition very soon. But we've taken time out to get on the bikes as often as we can. And so this issue is still a 128-page cracker – not least because we've got seriously detailed ride reports on the two of the biggest stories in Adventure in 2019 – the amazing Yamaha Tenere 700 and KTM 790 Adventure R – enduro enthusiasts might like to skip the first 40 pages... Talking of enduro, one of KTM's biggest rivals – Beta – just released some of their meanest, bestest enduros yet!

our papers etc. Just as they were about<br />
to leave, they noticed Simon vaping.<br />

vape will know that unlike a cigarette<br />
a vape produces an unholy amount<br />
of smoke, say similar to a cannabis<br />
bong. Ha! So the next thing we know<br />
the cops repeatedly started saying<br />
cannabis. Getting bummed by the<br />
police wasn’t on my list of things to<br />
do in Peru and I encouraged them to<br />
look at Simon’s vape to suggest that it<br />
was nicotine liquid and not cannabis.<br />
Anyhow after a few minutes one copper<br />
called me to his jeep and started rustling<br />
through a stack of papers. The first<br />
thought that crossed my mind was<br />
we were going to get heavily fined,<br />
