It's been a mad couple of months (and more) since the last issue as we've been working overtime on digital projects that should come to fruition very soon. But we've taken time out to get on the bikes as often as we can. And so this issue is still a 128-page cracker – not least because we've got seriously detailed ride reports on the two of the biggest stories in Adventure in 2019 – the amazing Yamaha Tenere 700 and KTM 790 Adventure R – enduro enthusiasts might like to skip the first 40 pages... Talking of enduro, one of KTM's biggest rivals – Beta – just released some of their meanest, bestest enduros yet!

So, as I was saying, the competitors<br />
had a great time. Every time I<br />
interviewed Sam Sunderland he could<br />
hardly contain himself, so keen was<br />
he to regale me with the amazing<br />
sights he’d seen that day. And it wasn’t<br />
just the sightseeing that was rocking<br />
his world. All in all he was having an<br />
excellent rally.<br />
Only one day did he come in with<br />
the ‘no speaks’, keeping his head down<br />
and riding past the journos waiting<br />
for him at the bivouac time control.<br />
When Sam first appeared on the scene<br />
not many could see him staying<br />
around for long. Just like another exmotocrosser,<br />
Joan Barreda, he was a<br />
bit of a crasher. Unlike the Spaniard<br />
however he stopped crashing around<br />
2017 and since then has been doing<br />
rather well.<br />
Granted on the Silk Way he didn’t<br />
have Toby Price or Matthias Walkner<br />
to contend with, but nevertheless<br />
