practice is progressing and our psychological<br />
experience of releasing the emotional wounds of<br />
a lifetime. This presentation is intended to clarify<br />
the psychological process on our journey to<br />

Jim McElroy is a<br />

of Centering Prayer, which<br />
he has been practicing<br />
since 1996. He has been<br />
on the leadership team of<br />
12-Step Outreach since its<br />
formation in <strong>20</strong>05 and is<br />
especially interested in teaching contemplative<br />
practices to the recovery community. He is a<br />
former coordinator of Contemplative Outreach<br />
of St. Louis and is on the Welcoming Prayer and<br />
Living Flame faculty.<br />

Lectio Divina Introductory<br />
Workshop for Advent<br />

The method of Lectio Divina, to pray sacred<br />
scripture, is introduced. Presenting a Christian<br />
tradition of prayer through reading, reflecting,<br />
responding and resting in the Word of God,<br />
one’s relationship with God is nourished and<br />
deepened. Scripture appropriate for the Advent<br />
season will be utilized in this workshop. Both<br />
individual and group experiences will be<br />
provided. Offering: $50 (includes lunch)<br />
