MPCA BOARD MEETINGS
The Board of Directors meets in the Memorial Parkway
Clubhouse (21600 Cimarron Parkway) on the first
Tuesday of every month at 7 PM. The meeting is open to
all members of the Association. Members are welcome
to observe the public portion of the meeting and to
address the Board during the ‘Homeowner Forum’
section of the meeting. The Board is only required by
the State to have ONE meeting per year, but MP has
always had monthly meetings so that they can be
more accessible to the members that they serve. Our
monthly Board meeting will be Tuesday, September 3,
2019 at 7 PM.

MPCA LADIES GAME NIGHT
Join us other neighborhood ladies for game night and pot luck. We play
Bunco ($13) and LRC ($3). Bring your favorite dish to share, Thursday,
September 5 th at 6:30 PM in the Memorial Parkway Clubhouse.
Newbies we always love to teach you how to play. Such easy games and
some great prizes, but the fun of getting together for great food and great
new friends is the best part. We play the first Thursday of each month at
the same location and time.
DINNER & BINGO NIGHT
Join your neighbors for a night out at the clubhouse! Friday, September
27 th !! We will serve food at 6:30 PM and begin BINGO at 7 PM. We will play
20 games, which usually takes about 2 hours. Bingo is for residents over
the age of 18 years old. This is an adult only event and space is limited to
60 people. You may RSVP by calling the office at 281-492-2949 or office@
mphoa.org.
2020 BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNUAL ELECTION
An elected Board of 5 Directors manage the affairs of the HOA. Each of the
Directors is elected for a 3-year term. The 5 Board positions are staggered
in rotation meaning every year there is at least one Board position up
for re-election. The Board election will be held November 12, 2019 at
the Annual Meeting. For 2020, there will be two Board position open
for re-election. A bio can be found for each candidate on the website,
Facebook and in the October Parkscripts. A Proxy will be mailed out in
the Annual Mailing in October. We have to have to meet the quorum in
order to have a valid election. If we do not have enough members return
the proxy/vote, then we will have to do another mailing which will cost
the members, $1,200. Please help keep your HOA Dues down, by voting
this year.
2020 HOA DUES
A statement along with the Annual letter will be mailed out to all
homeowners in October. The 2020 Maintenance Fee are due on January
1, 2020. If you want to get a head start and not have to pay all at once you
can set up a monthly auto pay through your online bill pay. There is no
charge to do this. Contact the office for more information.
HAUNTED HOUSE
It might be scary; it might be a fright - but there’s plenty of fun to be had
on our annual Haunted House Night!!
Please come out on Friday, October 25 th and check out the Memorial
Parkway Haunted House! Costumes are encouraged and tickets are only
$1! This year, we will have a popcorn bar, where you can top your own
popcorn with lots of ghoulishly fun treats.
We are looking to have a great turn out and please remember, this is a
family event! If you are interested in volunteering, please let the HOA
office know!

We are part of the court-appointed team leading this litigation against the federal government. Trial
of the upstream test cases concluded on May 17, 2019. The Judge is expected to issue his decision in

GARAGE SALES
MPCA would like to suggest that garage sales be conducted the first
Friday and Saturday of each month. This will eliminate the many signs
that are out each week and also makes for a stronger turn out. Most area
communities only allow sales twice a year. Memorial Parkway could be
known for its “Once a Month” garage sales.
Do not attach your garage sale signs to the STOP signs, as it is against the
law and the County can issue citations for this. If a sign is on a public right
of way, like the esplanades), they may be subject to fines of $500-$1,000
per occurrence per day. We also ask that you do not post your signs on
the property of another resident. When your sale is over, please go back
and pick up all of your signs.
TRASH PICK UP INFORMATION
If you pay your water bill to Harris County MUD #81: Collection days are
Monday and Thursday for garbage and Thursday for recycling. Please
secure all garbage in the 65-gallon black garbage cart with red lid and the
green recycling cart provided by Best Trash. On collection days, please
place the carts as close to the street as practicable, facing forward.

If you pay your water bill to Memorial MUD: Collection days are Tuesday
and Friday for garbage and Tuesday for recycling. For more information,

TRASH CAN/CART REMINDERS
On collection days, make sure to set your trash receptacle out by 7 AM
but no earlier than 6 PM the evening before. Trash receptacles/carts must
be stored inside your garage or behind the fence line at all times. They
must be stored out of public view by 8 AM the following morning. Please
note that a deed restriction violation letter will be sent out for those who
do not comply with this policy.

In recent deed restriction inspections, we have noticed a lot od damaged
and uneven sidewalks. Sidewalks are the homeowner’s responsibility to
keep in good repair.

REMINDER FOR DOG WALKERS
Be a responsible/considerate pet owner by picking up your dog’s waste
from your neighbor’s yard when you’re out for a walk. There’s nothing
more frustrating than stepping in fecal matter in your own yard when you
don’t even have a pet.
PROCEDURE FOR REPORTING BARKING DOGS:
1. Contact your neighbor and work it out as good neighbors should.
2. In the event that #1 is not possible, contact the Constables at 281-
463-6666. It is our understanding that the Constables will investigate the
barking dogs. In order to file a formal complaint you must be willing to
give the officer your name, address and phone number for their records.

A recorded message will guide you through the system. When reporting a
loose animal you will be asked to give your name and address, a description
