Personal Meetings Or Parties 

Another exciting upgrade to our community is the addition of Wi-Fi 

service NOW available at our Clubhouse. Not only will we be able to use 

Wi-Fi during our meetings or parties inside, but in the warmer weather, 

we will have access to it outside when enjoying our pool area! Our 

Clubhouse can be rented for $150, along with a $250 Deposit. Sunday 

through Thursday the Clubhouse can be rented until 9 PM; Friday and

Neighborhood/Crime Watch 

We can all participate in our Neighborhood/Crime Watch! It is easy! It’s 

about neighbors looking out for each other. 

When suspecting criminal activities, you are encouraged to contact the 

police and not to intervene. Call Fort Bend Sheriff at 281-341-4665. An 

alert and supportive neighborhood is the greatest single defense against 

crime. By getting to know your neighbors and their vehicles, you will 

most likely be aware of suspicious people, vehicles and/or sounds that 

could indicate criminal activity. Be a good neighbor. Report suspicious 

activity to the police. 

Attention! Pet Poops / You Scoop 

Please be respectful of community grounds and neighbors’ yards. If your 

pet poops during your walk, be prepared to scoop and trash. Come with 

a scooper and a recycled grocery bag or anything else. It may not be the 

most fabulous way to walk your pet, but it does show your respect for 

every homeowner and our beautiful community. 

Please Note - Pets On Leashes 

It is the law in Fort Bend County that all pets must be vaccinated for 

rabies, registered and restrained. All animals, when outside of an owner’s 

means of restraint (i.e., in a fenced back yard), must be on a leash. For the 

safety of all residents, please use all precautions with your pets and 

keep them on leashes when walking pets in the community EVEN IF 

YOU FEEL YOUR PET IS HARMLESS. If you see ANY animal roaming freely 

in the neighborhood, immediately call Animal Control at 281-342-1512. 

Even if you recognize the animal, be very careful approaching it, as you 

do not know how it will react; if you can safely retrieve the animal, then 

call the owner. Otherwise, Animal Control is your best and safest option.

HCYA HOMESCHOOL BASKETBALL 

Registration is now open for the 2019-2020 Season 

HYCA (Homeschool Christian Youth Association) is now accepting 

registrations through October 11 th for the 2019-2020 season. The 

organization has been in existence for 25 years and our coaching staff 

has over 30 years of total experience with HCYA. We have teams to 

accommodate boys ages 8 through the High School Varsity Level. We 

compete against public schools, private schools and home school 

organizations. We practice at Katy Hustle gym located at 23441 Clay

FALL SOCCER SIGN UPS - 

KATY/FULSHEAR/WEST HOUSTON 

Registration - Now Open! Registration for Fun, Fair, Positive Soccer 

(FFPS) is open for boys and girls ages 4 to 18 for the FALL Season. Games 

start on October 12, 2019. FFPS is a non-profit youth soccer program 

dedicated to providing a positive youth sports experience for all children. 

Founded in 1986 in Katy, Texas, FFPS has grown to 22 leagues and 16,000 

players throughout the Greater Houston area. FFPS offers children a fun 

and fair experience, including one practice per week, a full uniform and 

trophy for every player, equal playing time and play every position, coed/balanced 

teams, positive coaching and more. No tryouts are required. 

Online Registration schedule and fees (sign up early and save):

September 26 th until teams full: $132

(jersey, shorts and socks), trophy, trained positive coaches, nice fields 

and background checks on all volunteers.

schedule includes eight games, played locally on Saturdays, October 

12 th to December 7 th . Our Katy league plays at George Bush Park - FFPS

at Huggins Elementary (No. 1 Huggins Dr). Our West Houston League plays

guidelines set forth by WFTDA, the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association.

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA TROOP 418 - 

NEW GIRL-LED UNIT 

For the first time in its 100+ year history, the iconic 

program of the Boy Scouts of America will be open to 

young women, giving girls from ages 11-17 the same 

experience that boys have traditionally enjoyed. Scouts

LOCAL SCOUT HAS EARNED THE 

BOY SCOUT’S HIGHEST RANK 

ADVANCEMENT 

Tristan Lanclos, of Katy, has earned the Boy Scouts 

of America’s highest advancement award, the Eagle 

Scout Award. Tristan was recognized in a ceremony 

on June 30, 2019. A member of Troop 73, Tristan 

Lanclos is one of only approximately 6 percent of all 

Boy Scouts who attain the Eagle rank. 

Each candidate must earn 21 merit badges and 

successfully complete a community, church or 

synagogue-related service project to earn his Eagle; 

Tristan chose to renovate the outside gazebo area 

of the Legend Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation 

Center along with designing and building a planting 

table. During Tristan’s journey he also achieved a 

Bronze Palm by completing an additional 5 merit 

badges in addition to the 21 required to Eagle. He is 

extremely grateful for all the scouts and adults who 

helped make his project a success.

KATY AREA CHAMBER LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE 

In line with its focus on supporting business and community, the Katy 

Area Chamber of Commerce has launched a new website. The new 

website - at www.katychamber.com - is centered around easy access to 

information so that visitors can navigate easily to the information they 

want and need. 

“The Katy Area has a healthy business climate, thriving communities 

and an excellent quality of life” Matthew Ferraro, Katy Area Chamber 

President, said. “Our new website highlights what the Katy Area 

Chamber is doing to promote and support these things. It can do a lot,

It takes little effort to extend kindness. The entire month of September

Month! The word courteous comes from the Middle English word

Courtesy can mean several things to different people. To some, being

polite and having good manners. Courtesy can be words spoken or an 

action towards someone. Courtesy is about manners and respect. How 

you choose to show someone courtesy is entirely up to you! A single 

kind word keeps one warm for three winters - Chinese Proverb Courtesy 

should never have limits for people you know. Showing a stranger 

common courtesy could be the defining factor of their day. Oftentimes, a 

small gesture, such as a compliment, can make a person feel appreciated. 

When people are considerate to one another, a positive effect happens.

polite demeanor will have a ripple effect for the people you encounter! 

There are so many ways to show kindness to people through courtesy. 

Hold the door open for the people behind you! Mow your elderly
