ADVERTISERS INSTRUCTIONS<br />
Email (to 9Mb) or send us a DropBox link to your file.<br />
PREFERRED FILE FORMATS<br />
Adobe PRESS QUALITY PDF or 300dpi JPEG.<br />
Please prepare all PDFs using the Press Quality setting in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator or Quark software.<br />
OTHER ACCEPTABLE FILE FORMATS<br />
InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.<br />
Please ensure all fonts and images are packaged with the file and that all images are CMYK. RGB and<br />
Spot colours are not accepted.<br />
ILLUSTRATOR FILES MUST HAVE ALL FONTS CONVERTED TO OUTLINES/PATHS and IMAGES<br />
EMBEDDED.<br />
WE DO NOT ACCEPT<br />
QuarkXPress, CorelDraw, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, or any other Microsoft software<br />
generated files.<br />
CROP & BLEED MARKS<br />
are required on DPS, FP and HPH ads only at an additional 5mm on trim dimensions. No crop marks are<br />
required and no bleed accepted on one-third and two third page ads.<br />
COLOURS<br />
Please ensure that all colours are converted to CMYK prior to creating press quality PDFs or finalising<br />
raw files.<br />
Ensure that all black text is set to 100% K only and not rich black made up of RGB or CMY.<br />
IMAGES<br />
Should be a minimum of 240dpi at 100% scaling in CMYK mode.<br />
Vector (line art) files should be a minimum of 1200dpi, in CMYK.<br />
Image file formats should be jpeg, tiff or composite eps and should not be compressed.<br />
Colour profiles should not be embedded in images.<br />
(Ensure profiles are unchecked when saving images in Photoshop).<br />
FONTS<br />
We accept both PostScript and TrueType fonts.<br />
When packaging or collecting files for output, ensure that printer and screen fonts are included.<br />
PDFs should have all fonts embedded.<br />
Fonts should not be stylised.<br />
Convert all fonts to outlines/curves.<br />
NAMING<br />
Please name the file with the advertiser name and the appropriate ad size abbreviation, e.g. DPS, FP,<br />
HPH, TPV or TPH.<br />
