ADVERTISERS INSTRUCTIONS
Email (to 9Mb) or send us a DropBox link to your file.
PREFERRED FILE FORMATS
Adobe PRESS QUALITY PDF or 300dpi JPEG.
Please prepare all PDFs using the Press Quality setting in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator or Quark software.
OTHER ACCEPTABLE FILE FORMATS
InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
Please ensure all fonts and images are packaged with the file and that all images are CMYK. RGB and
Spot colours are not accepted.
ILLUSTRATOR FILES MUST HAVE ALL FONTS CONVERTED TO OUTLINES/PATHS and IMAGES
EMBEDDED.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT
QuarkXPress, CorelDraw, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, or any other Microsoft software
generated files.
CROP & BLEED MARKS
are required on DPS, FP and HPH ads only at an additional 5mm on trim dimensions. No crop marks are
required and no bleed accepted on one-third and two third page ads.
COLOURS
Please ensure that all colours are converted to CMYK prior to creating press quality PDFs or finalising
raw files.
Ensure that all black text is set to 100% K only and not rich black made up of RGB or CMY.
IMAGES
Should be a minimum of 240dpi at 100% scaling in CMYK mode.
Vector (line art) files should be a minimum of 1200dpi, in CMYK.
Image file formats should be jpeg, tiff or composite eps and should not be compressed.
Colour profiles should not be embedded in images.
(Ensure profiles are unchecked when saving images in Photoshop).
FONTS
We accept both PostScript and TrueType fonts.
When packaging or collecting files for output, ensure that printer and screen fonts are included.
PDFs should have all fonts embedded.
Fonts should not be stylised.
Convert all fonts to outlines/curves.
NAMING
Please name the file with the advertiser name and the appropriate ad size abbreviation, e.g. DPS, FP,
HPH, TPV or TPH.
