now looks as good as new. The quality of the cabinetry<br />

means that the kitchen now sits effortlessly within the<br />

living and dining area. Again texture and colour have been<br />

used to maximum effect. Tongue-and-groove panelling<br />

that begins in the splash-back in the kitchen moves<br />

throughout the dining area, creating a wonderful sense<br />

of continuity between the two areas. Anna Marie has<br />

also created a wall of reclaimed Victorian brick slips. “I<br />

wanted it to give warmth to the room but also to echo the<br />

rear wall of the house, as you look in from the garden.”<br />

Through the sliding doors, the patio offers up another<br />

shot of the family’s former Aussie life. The outdoor table<br />
