District, teachers come to agreement on contract after rally

The team walked out
successfully, as the district
and union came to an
agreement at a Oct. 3 meeting.
“Today, North Shore
School District 112 and the
North Shore Education Association
announced a tentative
agreement on a fiveyear
collective bargaining
agreement,” the district
says in a statement. “The
terms of the agreement will
be shared with members of
the NSEA for ratification
and then presented to the
NSSD112 School Board
