and filling station for propane<br />

tanks.<br />

As part of the annexation,<br />

Trustee Michael Mueller<br />

said a schedule is in place<br />

for McEnery to bring the<br />

property “into compliance<br />

with Village building and<br />

sign codes with some noted<br />

exceptions.”<br />

Two residents on same street have<br />

unlocked cars entered in same night<br />

A resident in the 1700<br />

block Grand Prairie Drive<br />

reportedly had their unlocked<br />

vehicle entered<br />

while it was parked in their<br />

driveway overnight on<br />

Sept. 24. The subject rummaged<br />

through the belongings,<br />

but nothing appeared<br />

to be missing, police said.<br />

Though, a mini bike was<br />

stolen from the garage,<br />

which was believed to have<br />

been left open overnight. A<br />

resident in the 1600 block<br />

also had their unlocked<br />

vehicle entered overnight,<br />

but nothing was missing.<br />

Sept. 29<br />

• Erin E. Johnson, 26, was<br />

charged with three counts<br />

of aggravated battery.<br />

Police said Johnson was<br />

at Silver Cross Hospital,<br />

1900 Silver Cross Blvd.<br />

for treatment. While at the<br />

hospital, Johnson reportedly<br />

became enraged and<br />

punched one employee in<br />

the face, kicked another<br />

employee and spit on and<br />

kicked a third.<br />

• An officer was dispatched<br />

to Walmart, 501 E. Lincoln<br />

Highway, where the<br />

complainant advised officers<br />

that a female subject<br />

reportedly purchased batteries<br />

using a counterfeit<br />

$100 bill.<br />

• A male subject reportedly<br />

stole numerous over the<br />

counter medications from<br />

CVS, 115 E. Lincoln Highway.<br />

The total loss was reportedly<br />

over $450.<br />

• Edgar Budrevicius, 27,<br />

169 Forest St. was charged<br />

with retail theft and criminal<br />

trespass to property.<br />

Budrevicius reportedly<br />

entered Speedway Gas<br />

Station, 800 W. Lincoln<br />

Highway and stole beer. A<br />

description was provided<br />

by the complainant and<br />

he was located a short distance<br />

from the gas station.<br />

Police said he was previously<br />

advised that he was<br />

no longer welcome at the<br />

gas station.<br />

Sept. 26<br />

• A female subject reportedly<br />

stole an electronic<br />

thermometer from CVS,<br />

115 E. Lincoln Highway.<br />

The total loss was reportedly<br />

over $60.<br />

• A resident in the 100<br />

block of E. Haven Avenue<br />

reportedly almost had<br />

their identity stolen. The<br />

complainant advised that<br />

someone called their elderly<br />

mother claiming to<br />

be from the Social Security<br />

Administration and tricked<br />

the victim into providing<br />

personal and banking account<br />

information. A short<br />

time later, an unsuccessful<br />

fraudulent attempt to withdraw<br />

money from the account<br />

was made.<br />

• A resident in the 1600<br />

block of Briarcrest Lane<br />

reportedly had someone<br />

obtain their personal and<br />

used it to set up a fraudulent<br />

PayPal account.<br />

Sept. 23<br />

• A resident in the 500<br />

block of Misty Creek Drive<br />

reportedly had someone<br />

obtain their checking account<br />

information and was<br />

making fraudulent transactions<br />

against the account.<br />

in alcoholic sales to a minor<br />

were surveilled in New<br />

Lenox the evening of Sept.<br />

25, and three were involved<br />

with the sale of an alcoholic<br />

beverage to a minor,<br />

according to a press release<br />

from the Illinois State Police<br />

received on Oct. 4.<br />

3 agents conducted Alcohol<br />

Countermeasure Enforcement<br />

surveillance at various<br />

establishments in Will<br />

County to determine which<br />

businesses may be selling<br />

alcoholic beverages to minors,<br />

the release stated.<br />

All three were released on a<br />

notice to appear in court. The<br />

public is reminded all defendants<br />

are presumed innocent<br />

unless proven guilty in a court<br />

of law.<br />
