Keeping it in the Family<br />
Upholland Optometrist Alan Bowen has announced a few changes to his opticians’ practice on Dingle Road.<br />
Alan, who founded the practice back in 1991, has taken on a new partner for the business – his cousin Brian<br />
Gleave, who is also an Optometrist.<br />
Brian’s involvement has allowed Alan to reduce the number of days he works but, rest assured, he plans to be<br />
around for a long time to come, giving the best possible service to customers at Bowen’s Opticians. The ethos<br />
of the practice remains - to offer excellent family eyecare and value for money.<br />
Over the past few months, there have been a few changes at the practice and Alan would like to wish a long<br />
and happy retirement to Lorraine Ayles, Anne Corless, Julie Aldridge and Deborah Winrow.<br />
They leave the practice in the capable hands of Alan’s new team which comprises;<br />
Jessica Johnstone, a Dispensing Optician and the Practice Manager, who was previously the Practice Manager at<br />
Suzanne Dennis in Parbold. Kirsty Gee and Jean Duncan, both Optical Advisors, Adrian Baxendale, an Dispensing<br />
Optician and a Contact Lens specialist, and resident locum Optometrists, Rachel Finch and Alex Whitter.<br />
